Enrollment Overview

Lake Norman Charter accepts applications (grades 5 through 12) for each upcoming school year from November 1, through January 31.  All applications received during this period will be entered into the school's public lottery.* 

As mandated by our Charter from the State of North Carolina, open slots will be filled through this lottery.  Any applications received after the lottery will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist of the grade applied for in order of receipt.

Applications are not accepted and new students will not be admitted after the 20th school day. Siblings of currently enrolled students are given priority for enrollment.

A public lottery will be held in the Middle School Cafetorium on Thurdsay, February 14, 2013 at 4:00 pm.  Lottery results will be available on the website the following day.

Group tours will be conducted each Thursday at 8.15am (middle school) and 9.30am (high school) beginning November 1st-January31st. Please contact the approprate school to sign up.

We also hold a Prospective Parent night each November (date to be announced). All families interested in learning more about our school are welcome to attend. 

*Please Note:  The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Division of Charter Schools, mandates that out-of-state residents are not eligible to participate in the lottery.
