MS BOYS' SOCCER
9/8/22: The Knights traveled to Providence Day to play on their very narrow field. It is tough to suffer back to back losses but Providence Day outplayed us. The coaches would like to recognize good work from Zack Devine, Liam Heart, and Alex Moreau. Despite the loss, and double digit shots toward our goal, the team stayed positive, worked hard, and created some good chances in the second half.
9/6/22: LNC 0 - Charlotte Latin 2
Graham Booker used his speed to force poor shots on goal. Drew Lehmar also played an important role in keeping the game close. The coaches felt Liam Cuis had an outstanding game distributing on offense and playing defense. The boys had an equal number of shots on goal, played strong the entire game, and represented Lake Norman Charter well.
MS VOLLEYBALL
9/8/22: The Lady Knights won their second match against Charlotte Latin but lost a tough battle against Providence Day on 9/7.
MS GIRLS' TENNIS

At No. 6 singles, Vaishnavi Divyakola dominated her opponent, winning 8-0. To win the overall match, the team would need to win all three doubles matches. Unfortunately, the Knights only won at No. 2 doubles where Sanvi Nethikunta and Pranati Kakani won 8-5. The girls continue to improve and become more confident in their play. The 3-6 loss does not reflect how hard they played.

9/6/22: It was another successful afternoon for the boys' and girls' cross country team. As hot as it was, the boys took 3rd place out of 10 schools, the girls 5th out of 11 schools. That is great considering we're competing against some large and formidable teams. In the mixed boys/girls race, we placed 4th.
Congratulations to the top 3 boys, Garrett Lasarsky, Devin Chiu and Alex Franzese and the top 3 girls, Emma Nelson, Mary Caroline Williams and Mikayla Freeland.

HS CROSS COUNTRY
9/9/22: Congratulations to the high school cross country team on their performance at Friday Night Lights Invitational held in Kernersville. This was one of the largest meets in the state where 99 different schools and over 2800 runners competed.
The men's and women's varsity teams competed in the Invitational division where they placed 13th and 19th respectively overall.
Leading the way for the men was senior Truitt Evely in 26th place who ran a new personal record. Rounding out the top 5 boys (scoring runners) were Javon Taylor, Stevie Parker (who now holds the 5th fastest time in LNC history for freshman), Carter Bole and Cooper Wozniak.
The women were led by junior Lily Yampolsky, who came home with her second medal of the season so far as she placed 8th overall. The other four girls who contributed to the team score were Jenna Peterson, Caroline Peterson, Maya Collam and Claire Gustafson.
Overall, 14 athletes ran new personal records and another 7 ran new seasonal bests. Good work to the entire team. Next up for the Knights will be the Hough Invitational on Saturday September 24 at Fisher Farm in Davidson.
