Week of September 12

9/13/22:  The cross country team is making their school proud!  Let's hand it to the girls who took 1st place and the boys who took 2nd place in Tuesday's meet.  The boys and girls are making their presence known at each meet.

High fives to the first 3 runners:
For the girls: Emma Nelson, Mikayla Freeland and Mary Caroline Williams
For the boys: Jonah White, Garrett Lasarsky and Alex Franzese

Shout out to those who shaved off a good amount of time from their personal records this season:
Subtracting nearly 2 minutes off their best times were Owen Peplinski and Ritika Shah.
Subtracting nearly 1 and 1/2 minutes off each of their best times were Rian Patel and Zaraah Nayab.
Subtracting around 1 minute each off their best times were Nolan Walters, Zack Rogers, Noah Pate, Anish Yadla, Emily Petrucci, and Reeve Lingor.

Congratulations to the Lady Knights on their win against Holy Trinity on Tuesday and Charlotte Country Day Wednesday. Every girl was able to contribute to the win. The team’s record is now 4 and 2.

9/14/22:  LNC 0 - Country Day 5
Liam Cuis had an amazing 8 saves in the first half and this kept the game close. Sean Bryne had a great game defending against the attack. LNC showed improvement in teamwork, communication and passing. The coaches recognize Abhinav Bodavala for a strong game on the wing.

9/13/22:  The boys lost to an excellent Holy Trinity team at home. The weather was great and the player improvement from start to finish was also great. Part of the LNC mission is to lead. Shreyas Polishetty and Graham Booker modeled this well for the team. The midfielders worked hard but lost the battle against the physically larger Holy Trinity mid-field. The coaches would also like to recognize the efforts of TJ Pacitto and goalkeeper Caleb McClanahan for the saves he made.
