Week of September 19

MS BOYS' SOCCER
9/20/22:  The team played strong at Cannon but did not win. Great work rate from Randy Manley, Zack Devine and Liam Heart. Both goalies had a combined 10 saves from Cannon's offense. Jake Taylor did well in a position he was not used to playing and Shreyas Polishetty demonstrated great leadership. It was a tough loss and the coaches know the boys learned a lot.

9/19/22:  In the heat, the boys' soccer team played their best game yet. Though they lost to Covenant Day they played well as individuals and as a team. The team's strategy was executed and it was working. Graham Booker had a huge game against a big, strong player. Drew Lehmar did well getting the balls to the mid-fielders who transitioned into our offense. Luke Kosicki led the offense who together had 7 shots, 4 on goal.

MS CROSS COUNTRY
9/20/22:  It was an incredibly hot meet for the team.  We were down a good handful of runners but the ones who participated pushed through in the sweltering heat. The girls took 3rd place and the boys took 5th.

The coaches are proud to give a shout-out to the first 3 girls:  Emma Nelson, Mikayla Freeland and Isabella Corrigan.  The first 3 boys were Jonah White, Garrett Lasarky, and Devin Chiu.

The heat made it harder for runners to significantly chip away at their times.  The most notable were Owen Peplinski and Isabella Corrigan at over 30 seconds from their best record this season.  Dakota Gayle chipped off an incredible minute off her best time.  Way to go!
