Week August 26

MS BOYS' SOCCER
8/28/24:  LNC 0 - Charlotte Latin 3
Despite the loss, the team showed improvement from Monday. Your Knights had 9 shots and 2 corner kicks. Defenders Alec Cwynar and Christian Hyun had outstanding performances. The goalkeepers, Duncan McKinney, Zander Gray and Henry Niemeyer, combined to save 15 shots. The offense was led by Hans Bakshi and Andrew Choi. Both did a great job controlling the ball. The score did not reflect on how close the game was. Good Job Knights!

8/26/24:  LNC 2 - Holy Trinity 4
The Knights opened up their season at home in the heat against Holy Trinity. The Knights had 8 shots, scoring twice. After a tough fight, Holy Trinity came out on top 4-2. Duncan McKinney and Zander Grey combined for 5 saves in the goal. Defenders Miles Bunting and Christian Hyun both had strong performances on defense. Aiden Betts scored both goals for LNC with good support from Nico Ferris. It was a good first game for the Knights. 

MS CROSS COUNTRY
8/27/24:  The team traveled to South Charlotte to compete on a tough course in the blistering heat. Macy Salamone came in 3rd overall. Lilly Wykoff, Brityn Gandy, Riley Neilson and Caroline Parker were also our top scorers for the girls' team. Leo Franzese came in 3rd overall. Quade Williams, Bishop Gandy, Ethan Cancro and Saxton Swords were also the top scorers for the boys' team, who altogether came in 2nd out of 7 teams!   

HS VOLLEYBALL
8/28/24:  The Knights defeated Central Cabarrus in 3 sets with scores of 25-8, 25-23 and 25-15, bringing the Knights to 5-0 in conference and 6-0 overall

JV defeated Central Cabarrus in 2 sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-12. They are also 6-0 overall!

8/27/24:  The Knights defeated Northwest Cabarrus in 3 sets with scores of 25-16, 25-8 and 25-16. T

JV defeated Northwest Cabarrus in 2 sets with scores of 25-10 and 25-15.
