Knights WearRecycled Knights Wear
Knight Families - Do you have some old LNC swag that you can't wear anymore? Have your kids outgrown their favorite LNC sweatshirt or T-shirt? Why give your LNC items to one of those other organizations when they could help raise money for our PTO? The LNCharter Spirit Wear team is collecting gently-worn, clean LNC items right now for a future sale to benefit LNC PTO! Simply drop your items off in the collection boxes in the MS or HS office and we will let you know in the next few weeks when we will have our 2nd Annual All Day LNC Spirit Wear Sale that will include gently-used items for purchase as well as all of our new groovy gear too!

Save the Date - Class Ring Ceremony
LNC’s annual Class Ring Ceremony is Monday, November 13 at 6:30pm in the HS MPR. This ceremony is a tradition at LNC and we hope that all students who purchased a class ring last year will attend!

First-Ever HS Club Fair
Last week the HS hosted its first-ever Club Fair. We caught up with Student Council President Sydney Thorne to learn more:

Q: What is a Club Fair?
Thorne: A club fair is very similar to a college fair or career fair. Basically, clubs are able to introduce and promote themselves and potentially recruit members of the student body. It is ultimately an opportunity where students can learn more about the numerous clubs offered at LNC HS.

Q: How many LNC clubs were represented at the LNC HS Club Fair?
Thorne: Most of the clubs at LNC were represented, including Student Council, The Gardening Club, Interact Club, Dance Team and Life Skills to name just a few. The newer clubs were very well represented.

Q: As Student Council President you have been wanting to host this at the HS for a while now. Why?
Thorne: I felt so convicted to host a Club Fair at LNC because I saw confusion over the years that I’ve been in high school about what clubs were offered and what they were all about. I felt that a Club Fair would be a great solution. I hope the Club Fair will be become a tradition at LNC HS and that it will be scheduled closer to the beginning of school in years to come.

HS PTO Lunch Program
The lunch program needs your help to distribute lunches to students. Serving lunch is a great way to fulfill your Serve10 hours, see your child during the day and to meet other LNC parents.

You can volunteer by clicking on the Serve10 Volunteer Link on the LNC home page. If you have any questions, please contact Lana Leiberman: lanalieberman@aol.com HS Lunch volunteer coordinator.

School Photos
If you ordered school pictures they should have come home this week with your student. You can still order photography through St. John, however you will need to have the order shipped to your home. Whether you opt to purchase or not, please choose a yearbook photo for your student. If you do not choose a photo to appear in the yearbook, one will be chosen for you! You can order and/or choose the yearbook photo by following the steps below:

  • Go to stjohnphotography.com
  • Choose SCHOOLS
  • Choose ORDER PHOTOS
  • Enter LAKE NORMAN CHARTER
  • Enter Access Code LKCC

Last Chance
There are only three spots left on the Spring Break 2018 Galapagos trip. This trip will be closing in a couple of weeks so if your student is interested in attending, please contact mmarinello@lncharter.org.
