Our Mission & Philosophy
At Lake Norman Charter, we’re more than a school — we’re a community built on learning, leadership and service. As a tuition-free, K–12 college preparatory charter school, we help students grow into confident, compassionate leaders who are ready to make a difference in the world.
For more than 25 years, LNC has proudly partnered with families to provide a supportive and challenging environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. Through engaging academics, meaningful service, and strong character development, our students learn what it means to truly live our motto: Together we learn, lead and serve.

LNC first grade teacher, Ms. Stephanie Lane, was recognized as the 2024-25 North Carolina Charter School Teacher of the Year! She is among the top 9 of 100,000 K-12 educators in the state!
