Mr. Nicholas Carlascio: Principal, Middle School
Nick is originally from Rochester NY, where he attended St. John Fisher College and received his Bachelors in Childhood Education and Special Education. He relocated to the Charlotte area where he earned his Masters of Arts from Gardner Webb University and was a teacher/administrator in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. During his time in CMS he was a finalist for “Teacher of the Year” in 2007. In 2012 he took a leadership position in Kannapolis City Schools. In his 10 years in Kannapolis, he was principal at three different schools: Jackson Park Elementary, Forest Park Elementary, and Kannapolis Middle School. He was selected as “Principal of the Year” in 2015 for Kannapolis City Schools. Nick joined the Lake Norman Charter staff in July of 2022. He is excited to have an impact on the community he resides in and develop the leaders of tomorrow.
Outside of school, Nick and his family are very involved in athletics and most of their weekends are spent at the lacrosse field, where both his kids play. He lives in the Davidson area and is a proud parent of two Knights, Jacob and Lilly.

Mr. Peter Fusco, MS Assistant Principal
Peter joined Lake Norman Charter in 2025 as the Middle School Assistant Principal. Originally from New York, he relocated to North Carolina in 2020 and most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Lakeshore Elementary before joining the LNC community. With nearly 20 years of experience in education, Peter has served in a variety of roles including principal, assistant principal, and director of guidance, working across elementary, middle, and high school levels. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a diverse educational background to his role at LNC.
Peter earned his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and went on to complete a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling at Russell Sage College. While pursuing his Master’s in School Administration, he was selected by The College of Saint Rose to participate in the Call to Leadership Program, a competitive initiative designed to prepare and promote exceptional school leaders in the Albany, New York area.
Outside of school, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. When he’s not coaching his kids’ lacrosse teams, he loves traveling with his family—especially to the beach, Disney, and national parks across the country.
