Lottery

  • Lake Norman Charter utilizes a lottery process for families applying for admission to the school. Online applications are available for our public school lottery for grades K-12 from November 1 to January 31. 

    Applications submitted prior to the official beginning date are not valid and will not be considered for the lottery.

    Applications received after the lottery application date will be placed at the end of the waitlist of the grade applied.

  • Applicants may check their results from the lottery by clicking the “Lottery Results” button below. You will need your application number provided in the confirmation email you received when you applied. If you do not have this information, you can have your application number emailed to you by clicking on this link.

    If your student is waitlisted, please check back as the results are updated daily until the 20th day of school (September 11, 2025).

  • The online application period to apply to LNC for the 2025-2026 school year has ended. If you wish to apply, please visit the respective school to complete a paper application. Your student's name will be added to the end of his/her grade level waitlist.

    Grades K-4: elementary school - 10019 Hambright Road, Huntersville
