Board of Education Vacancy

  • The deadline to apply to join the LNC Board of Education has been extended to Monday, April 6, 2020.

The primary purpose of the board of education is to set policy, provide oversight, and approve and oversee the management of the school budget.  LNC has a strong management team of administrators and personnel in place to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school.  The BOE is responsible for oversight and performance evaluation of the superintendent.  Our charter and bylaws require several board committees:  Budget and Finance, Audit and Evaluation and Policy and Personnel.  In addition to that, board members co-lead or participate in several administration-appointed sub committees that revolve around our strategic areas of focus and needs (School-Life Balance, Global Diversity & Inclusion, Family Engagement, etc.).  Service on committees requires a time commitment, as well as some prior knowledge and/or skill in the particular area.

If you are interested in joining the LNC Board of Education, please fill out and submit the application before April 6, 2020.
