Band Boosters Love Volunteers!


  • Volunteer commitment is the core of the Band Boosters. Our goal is to help provide the students of LNC a quality band program with both classroom and extra-curricular components. We help provide funding and support to our director to give him opportunities for a wide variety of musical interests; from the middle school jazz band through the high school Knight Riders. 

    Volunteer Opportunities

    Middle School Lunch Volunteers (10:00 - 12:15)
    Please plan to arrive at the MS around 10:00 on your designated day. Sign in at the main office and come down to the Cafetorium.

    Please park in designated Volunteer spaces and check in at the HS office then meet in the lobby of the Multi-purpose room.

    Board Opportunities

     Immediate Needs: 

    • Scholarship Chair (8th grade or HS): responsible for organizing forms, advertise and collect the forms from the candidates, oversee judging and announcing the winners. This job is at-home through email. Starts about January, ends late April. Candidates can be paired with last year’s Scholarship Chair.
    • Student Recognition Coordinator (any grade/many awards are upper grades): responsible for maintaining student awards, recording and disseminating all awards at end-of-year banquet, recognition parties or Awards Nights. Also responsible for notifying school newsletter, band webmaster of student achievements as requested by Band Boosters and Director. This job is throughout the school year with the bulk of it in the spring. This job is at-home and in-school and has a few required events. Candidates can be paired with last year’s Coordinator.
    • Banquet Coordinator (HS only): responsible for organizing banquet, contacting venue for event, payments and overseeing the evening. Also responsible to work with Student Recognition Coordinator to ensure all students are awarded at the event. Starts in February and ends at the banquet (April/May). You will work in conjunction with committee of volunteers and Student Recognition Coordinator.
