Why are ES students going back 4 days a week, not a full 5 days?

LNC ES students participaing in plan A will go to school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesday will remain a student seminar day. Distance learning students make up 15% of our ES student population and we anticipate that percentage increasing as some families might not be comfortable with plan A and/or have special health considerations. LNC must be able to support all learning formats including our distance learners. Wednesdays are set aside for our teachers to instruct and reach out virtually to our distance learners. Additionally, the school day will remain an hour shorter in order for teachers to assist distance learners during their one hour office hours each afternoon.
