Week of September 2

MS CROSS-COUNTRY
9/3/24

The boys' and girls' cross-country teams traveled to South Charlotte to compete on a tough course against 8 teams. The girls placed 6th and the boys placed 3rd overall. Almost everyone improved their times from last week!

MS BOYS' SOCCER
9/5/24
The boy's soccer team played outstanding and won at Covenant Day 5-1. Three goals by Aiden Betts and 2 goals by Andrew Choi were on fire. The Knights had 3 times as many corner kicks and 16 total shots. Hans Bakshi had an outstanding game in mid-field controlling the tempo. Nico Ferris had 2 assists and was key to the offense. The coaches also want to call out Sriram Polishetty for a great demonstration of leadership and hustle.

9/3/24

The boys delivered a heart-pounding performance in their third showdown of the season against Charlotte Christian on Tuesday night! The scoreboard lit up with a nail-biting 1-1 tie, but don't let that fool you – our Knights were on fire! Between the posts, Zander Gray was an absolute brick wall, pulling off a jaw-dropping SEVEN saves! Talk about keeping us in the game! But wait, there's more! The defensive line of Bradley Goins, Alec Cwynar, Christian Hyun, and Duncan McKinney stood strong like a steel curtain, shutting down attacks left and right. These boys were everywhere at once! As the second half kicked off, Hans Bakshi took control of the midfield and managed it like 5th-grade homework. And when it came down to the wire, who else but Miles Bunting to save the day? With nerves of steel, he blasted home the equalizer from a penalty kick outside the 18-yard box. Talk about a clutch performance! Go Knights!
