Mr. Ricky Jones, Board Chair

Mr. Jones is employed at Wells Fargo Co. as an Enterprise Regulatory Compliance Risk Manager. This function provides independent oversight of Institutional/Brokerage/Fiduciary business units. Mr. Jones is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the company meet compliance risk management responsibilities and comply with all the applicable laws and regulations set by the Federal Government. Prior to that, Mr. Jones was the Senior Vice President at Bank of America for 15 years in Risk and Compliance leadership roles. He received his bachelor degree in Business Administration from Wright State University, and is Six Sigma Process Improvement Certified. He’s an active volunteer in the community with Boy Scouts of America, Special Olympics, and Charlotte Rotary Club. He and his wife Alicia reside in Charlotte and have three children, one of whom has graduated from LNC and another of whom still attends LNC.

Mr. Buckler is a Director of Procurement for Lowe’s Companies Inc. supporting the company’s multi-billion dollar procurement activities. Over his 20 career, Rick has held positions in a variety of functions, including accounting, auditing, financial planning & analysis, program management and procurement. He also has broad industry experience that spans financial services, consulting, manufacturing, healthcare and retail. Rick has a BS in Accounting from Towson University, a MBA from University of Maryland and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Rick and his wife, Cindy, live in Huntersville with their two children, one of whom attends Lake Norman Charter.

Mr. Tilley is a finance executive with 20+ years of experience in various financial and accounting roles across multiple industries, including industrial manufacturing, consumer product and financial services. He has broad experience leading strategic and capital planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling and analysis, M&A activity and business process optimization. Jared is currently Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at Nuveen (a TIAA Company), where he has financial oversight for a $500M annual budget. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Accounting degrees from Gardner-Webb University. Jared and his wife, Cindy, live in Huntersville with their five daughters, all of whom currently attend Lake Norman Charter.

Stephanie Painter is a senior vice president and manager in Enterprise Risk, within the Corporate Risk organization at Wells Fargo. As a 20-year veteran of the company, she is responsible for the overall coordination and direction of company-wide strategies designed to meet heightened expectations for strong independent risk management, including risk aggregation, risk appetite, self-assessment, and legal entity governance. Stephanie earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. She also completed the Executive Leadership Program from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. She and her husband Karl live in Denver and have six children together ranging from two to 13 years old. Three currently attend LNC and three will join their siblings at LNC in the coming years.

Mrs. Anna Blackwelder

Mrs. Blackwelder is the Head of Legal North America for SGL Carbon, LLC and manages, directs and provides legal services and advice to SGL Group’s North American locations. SGL Group is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of carbon and graphite products and her position provides  the opportunity to work on global issues with her European and Asian colleagues.  Her areas of responsibility include risk management, compliance/corporate governance, employment, regulatory, contracts and litigation.  Mrs. Blackwelder is also an active member of the Charlotte Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, having served as a member of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board and as Chair of the Women’s Affinity Group.  She graduated magna cum laude from Appalachian State University with a BA in Political Science and earned her JD from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.  Mrs. Blackwelder and her husband, Jon, have three children, all of whom attend Lake Norman Charter.

Mrs. Chapman is a mediator, psychologist and the President/CEO of Global Minds United, which is a non-profit whose mission is educating and empowering students to engage in global dialogue.  She is currently working with Harvard Graduate School of Education to create and spread global education to students and teachers in the United States and around the world.  Mrs. Chapman earned a BA in Literature/ Psychology from The George Washington University, MSC in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology and Psychotherapy from University College London and Mediation/Conflict Resolution certification from Northwestern. Mrs. Chapman enjoys public speaking at conferences and teaching Conflict Resolution and Peace-building.  She has been a guest speaker on Refugees at LNC MS, Women’s Rights in War Torn Countries at LNC HS and Conflict Resolution at Davidson College. Mrs. Chapman currently lives in Davidson with her husband, Richard, and their three daughters who attend LNC Elementary, Middle and High School and love being Knights

Ms. Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer Johnson is a marketing strategist with 19+ years of experience in the fields of media, health & human services and higher education. She has experience leading major organization change initiatives including brand and pricing. Jennifer is currently the Vice President of Admissions & Marketing at Queens University, where she leads the teams responsible for undergraduate admissions and recruiting, creative services, graphic design, web, social media, public relations, communication, advertising and marketing. She led the university’s brand initiative which launched to the public in April of 2016. Prior to Queens, Jennifer led marketing for the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, where she spearheaded pricing and brand projects. Early in her career, she worked in the field of journalism as a producer for WBTV News in Charlotte, NC. She graduated from Duke in 1998, and graduated from Queens McColl School of Business in 2014 with a Master of Science in Executive Coaching. She is an active volunteer with Mecklenburg Community Church and serves on the School Leadership Team at Myers Park Traditional School. She is raising two boys – Drew and Chase – with her husband Adrian.

Ms. Latten brings over 15 years of expertise in partnering with clients to achieve strategic learning objectives as a Senior Learning Strategist and owner of Latten & Associates. She uses her leadership, project management and training expertise to contribute to the greater community both professionally and through non-profit organizations. Ms. Latten has been a local resident of the Charlotte area since High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC-Greensboro in both Finance and Economics. Additionally, she has a Masters of Professional Studies degree in Organization Development & Change from Penn State University and is currently working on a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. Ms. Latten lives in Huntersville and enjoys balancing the lives of three children, including one who is an LNC graduate and one who is currently enrolled at LNC.

Mr. McElroy is a Principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP who focuses Business Model Transformation and Human Capital consulting.  Over the past 24 years, Thom has helped companies maximize the potential of their talent to deliver superior business results.  In his current role, Thom leads the Retail industry segment for the Business Model Transformation practice.  Mr. McElroy lives in Charlotte with his wife, Heather, and his three children, two of whom currently attend Lake Norman Charter.
